What to include in your request
- Roughly how much mail you get, and how much of it is routine
- How many meetings you have per week, how many are external, and how many time zones they cross
- How often you travel, and whether personal bookings are in scope
- Whether you use Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, plus your chat, project and expense tools
- When you need someone available, and how fast routine replies should go out
What happens after you send it
A service partner reviews your request and replies by email or phone to arrange a short call. After the call you receive a written proposal covering tasks, hours, access setup and terms. You can ask questions, change the scope or decline.
Preparing for the first call
Read secure access for virtual assistants and jot down the accounts the work would touch. The access conversation goes quicker that way, and you stay in control of what gets shared. The example delegated week may also help you decide what to ask for.
Questions about requesting a proposal
Do I need to know exactly how many hours I need?
No. Describe your workload and the partner will suggest a starting number of hours on the call.
Can I start with only my inbox or calendar?
Yes. Many people start with one area, such as calendar management, and add more as the arrangement settles.
Should I share logins in the form?
No. Access is set up after you accept a proposal, through delegation and a password manager, never through the form or email.
